Editing FAQ
How much will it cost?
That depends! Ask yourself:
- Do I need proofreading, copyediting, or substantive editing?
- Is my manuscript in good shape already? Does it pose any special challenges?
- Your manuscript is unique. Email me a sample chapter for a written estimate.
Would YOU hire an editor?
Definitely! Amy Einsohn, author of The Copyeditor’s Handbook, didn’t edit her own book.
What kinds of document do you edit?
Non-fiction writing of any kind. (Sorry, no novels.)
Is there anything you won’t edit?
Fiction. (See above.) Ransom notes.
